Another Dracula Origin Tale Coming from the Writer of ‘Mirror Mirror’

Writer Jason Keller is looking to capitalize on two trends that are hot in Hollywood right now: the fairy tale movie and the vampire film. Keller wrote Mirror Mirror, Tarsem’s fantasy take on the Snow White mythology that hits theaters this March, and now Deadline reports that the scribe just sold an untitled pitch to Sony Pictures about the origins of Dracula. Not much is known about the story, other than it’s intended to be a period film that kick-starts a franchise, but it joins a host of other vampire-related films in various stages of development.
