Channing Tatum Says ‘Magic Mike’ Sequel is Already Being Developed

Well, this isn’t all that surprising. Following the box office success of the male stripper film from Steven Soderbergh, the Magic Mike star Channing Tatum has some good news for fans of the ripped dudes shaking their asses in thongs and ripping off their shirts. In speaking with Glamour UK (via CelebBuzz), Tatum was asked about the possibility of a sequel, and he excitedly said, ““Yes, yes and yes! We’re working on the concept now. We want to flip the script and make it bigger.” Penis jokes aside, with Soderbergh’s impeding retirement and an ending that doesn’t really lead into an obvious sequel, is this really necessary? The studio is probably blinded by the fact that the film has made $75 million so far, an impressive feat for an R-rated film about a bunch of male strippers.
