David Gordon Green Sends ‘Orphan’ Isabelle Fuhrman to ‘Suspiria’

Though her big break came as the creepy tituar lead in the horror film Orphan, more casual movie goers might recognize Isabelle Fuhrman as one of the more villainous tributes in The Hunger Games. Now Variety reports the young actress is set to return to horror in the lead role of David Gordon Green’s long gestating remake of Dario Argento’s remake of the 1977 horror film Suspiria. Over a year ago, Green wanted the film to be his next project, and now with the HBO series “Eastbound & Down” all wrapped up, he’s making it happen with an eye towards a September start and a script he co-wrote with Chris Gebert. The original film followed Suzie, a young girl who travels to Europe to attend a world-renowned school, only to learn that the academy is a front for a coven of witches.
