Director Brad Peyton to Start a Major Earthquake in ‘San Andreas 3D’

Director Brad Peyton already has a busy future with Journey 3, another sequel to follow Journey 2: The Mysterious Island (Josh Hutcherson and Dwayne Johnson are returning), and an adaptation of DC Comics’ property Lobo (which might also get Johnson back with Peyton), but that’s not stopping him from adding another project to his slate. Heat Vision has word that Peyton is in talks to helm San Andreas 3D, a special effects extravaganza said to center on a massive earthquake that hits California. Allan Loeb (Wall Street 2) was the most recent writer to polish the original script by Andre Fabrizio and Jeremy Passmore. Aside from the fact that this film is in 3D, I’m not sure what the film can offer than wasn’t already on display in the bid budget end of the world flick 2012.
