Fincher’s ‘Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’ Hits a Day Early, Tuesday Night

She’s coming. Its been officially announced (via Deadline) by Sony/Columbia Pictures that David Fincher’s The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo will now be opening in theaters a day early, starting December 20th instead of the original release of December 21st. These are essentially early midnight showings of the dark, R-rated film, as they’ll start showing Dragon Tattoo at 7PM nationwide on the Tuesday evening of the 20th, an exact week from today. It’s a very crowded time for movies this holiday, and this might give them a slight advantage, at least with anyone very anxious to see this (and I highly suggest it). Feel bad this holiday.
