First Look: Shane Carruth’s New Sundance 2013 Film ‘Upstream Color’

Get your first look right here! Following the announcement hours ago that Primer director Shane Carruth’s new film Upstream Color would be playing in the Dramatic Competition category at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival in January, we have our first look. It’s the first feature that Carruth has directed since making the time-travel indie Primer back in 2004 (which premiered at Sundance nine years ago) though he has been working briefly on Rian Johnson’s Looper. SlashFilm found a small batch of photos, one taken from the promo poster for the film starring Shane Carruth as well as Amy Seimetz and Andrew Sensenig. The synopsis for Upstream Color included in the Sundance announcement states: “A man and woman are drawn together, entangled in the life cycle of an ageless organism.
