Katie Holmes Makes First Ringless Appearance Since Divorce Filing

Katie Holmes flashed a hint of a smile in NYC this morning, leaving Parsons The New School For Design following a taping of Project Runway All Stars. It’s the first time Katie’s been spotted in public since filing divorce papers in New York late last week, and her wedding ring was noticeably absent from her left hand. Tom Cruise was reportedly blindsided by the divorce announcement while filming Oblivion on location in Iceland. Tom was spotted on a helicopter traveling to the set but has remained mum since releasing a short statement saying he is “deeply saddened” by Katie’s decision to end the marriage. Katie’s already begun to separate herself from Tom: she hired a new security team and moved out of their shared Manhattan apartment.
