Marvel Picks Up Black List Scribe to Rewrite ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’

While we’re really excited to see Phase Two of the Marvel Cinematic Universe kick off next summer, there’s still a lot of work to be done on all those films. Iron Man 3 is still in production, Anthony Mackie just joined Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Christopher Eccleston is lined up for Thor: The Dark World, and we’re still introducing people to the cosmic line-up of Guardians of the Galaxy, their new tentpole slated for release in August of 2014. Now the studio is really digging into the hard work after their official Comic-Con announcement and Heat Vision reports a new writer is coming on board for a script rewrite. Chris McCoy doesn’t yet have any scripts that have been produced, but that doesn’t mean his writing skills aren’t up to par.
