Paramount Confirms More ‘Paranormal Activitiy’ is Coming This Year

After three films, a franchise usually starts to lose its flare, but that seems to be even more true in the horror genre. However, after three installments, I have to say that I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the terror and surprises from Paranormal Activity. The reverse engineered story from the initial low budget horror film from 2009 has unfolded with great success including the most recent sequel pulling in just over $200 million worldwide with only a $5 million budget. That kind of box office boom pretty much guaranteed a new sequel, and Paramount has confirmed that fact in a press release on the studio’s 2012 releases. Mostly the studio just hypes their forthcoming releases like World War Z, The Dictator and G.I. Joe: Retaliation, but there’s also a blurb (via Collider) that confirms a fourth Paranormal Activity film that will arrive before the end of the year: “In 2012, Paramount’s …
