Steven Spielberg Wants Chris Hemsworth to Lead ‘Robopocalyse’

Last fall, it was confirmed that Steven Spielberg would finally take on an adaptation of the Daniel H. Wilson sci-fi novel Robopocalypse as his next project (following the completion of Lincoln) with Fox and DreamWorks teaming up to finance the tentpole film. But since then, the only solid update we’ve heard came from Fox’s announcement of an April 25th, 2014 release date (as the studio tries to make summer happen in April instead of May). Now Deadline has word that Spielberg has his eye on a leading man for the film with Chris Hemsworth being his top choice to star in the film about an apocalyptic robot uprising.
