‘The Hunger Games’ Heads Back to IMAX Theaters for Another Week

While the internet has been abuzz with who will replace director Gary Ross for The Hunger Games sequel Catching Fire, with Francis Lawrence receiving an official offer to direct the film just yesterday, the box office has still been dominated by the first film in the franchise. For those who haven’t been keeping track, the film has actually sat atop the box office for four weeks in a row, and the last two films to do that were a couple indies called The Dark Knight and Avatar. Could the film win again this weekend? If not, it might stand a chance on April 27th when the film returns to 100 IMAX screens for another one-week run.
