Watch: New Trailer for Zhang Yimou’s ‘The Flowers of War’ with Bale

“Stop! This is a House of the Lord!” Wrekin Hill, the US distributors for this film, have debuted a new trailer on Deadline for Zhang Yimou’s The Flowers of War, starring Christian Bale. This is China’s entry into the Oscars this year and is a WWII story about an American man who comes to shelter and save a convent of young girls stuck at a church in occupied Nanking, China during WWII. I got to see this film recently and it’s fantastic, Bale gives an outstanding performance, and it’s riveting and emotional from start to finish. This new trailer captures some of that, and it’s mostly in English so you’ll understand all of it. Take a look below.
