Watch: Rebecca Hall in New Trailer for Gothic Horror ‘The Awakening’

When the film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival last year, a trailer surfaced to help build some buzz for the gothic horror The Awakening starring Rebecca Hall, but now the film has an official release date later in the summer, and a new trailer has arrived. The story follows an author and professional hoax exposer (Hall) in London after WWI, who’s approached by a teacher (Dominic West) at a boy’s boarding school, who believes the students are being tormented by a ghost. The film has all the cliche elements of supernatural horror like this, but I’ve heard the film is much more subtle and haunting. Watch!
