Zoe Aggeliki Now in Talks to Play Johanna Mason in ‘Catching Fire’

Well, that was fun. Originally, Mia Wasikowska and model turned actress Zoe Aggeliki were said to be on the shortlist to take a role in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, the sequel to the blockbuster adaptation of Suzanne Collins’ best-selling book series. But then a story came along saying Sucker Punch star Jena Malone was the top choice to take the role. Well, apparently Malone and Aggeliki both auditioned for Francis Lawrence and we’re now full circle as Deadline reports it’s Aggeliki “in the most serious talks” to play Johanna Mason, a previous victor of The Hunger Games heading back to the arena. In Catching Fire, previous victors of past Hunger Games are summoned back into the arena for the Third Quarter Quell, or 75th Hunger Games, which also brings Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) and Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson) back to the bloody event.
